Stopped reading there.

Don't try justify your piracy.

I think the majority here do feel that it is justified in some cases. A company delivering a gimped product is generally one of them. Why? Not to steal a game, but because it sends a message. Numbers are kept of how many times a game is downloaded. Numbers are kepts of how many times a game was legally purchased. Multiple people refusing to buy a game for a specific reason, along with that same game showing high piracy numbers along with low sales numbers, especially if it is a proven seller, sends a VERY clear message.
So did EA get the point after Spore? I didn't really pay attention, but I do know it was one of the most highly pirated games this gen.

Amen to higher education! Pursuing my PhD here, and let me tell you what, I may be an independent, but the Republicans with their crazy Christianity and cluelessness about how fiscal policy actually works means I'm far, far away from ever voting for one again.

What a shame, at least I just saved $40 though.

I'm kinda happy because this means less games I have to buy. hehehe.

I'm not denying that it'll be rageworthy if this catches on to more main or story driven games.

I was on the fence about 3DS. But this kind of stuff just made me decide no way. I'm sticking with my GBA & DS. Maybe I'll think about picking up a PSP now.

Well all I care about is that it's a game I'm told you can sink 200 hours into to do everything and a lot of it is very difficult stuff. If I'm putting that much work into a game, I want to backup that save. I don't really care about other players, as I could easily play the game offline. That's the problem with copy-lock saves, companies worrying too much about other players, leaving nice guys like you and me who just want to back up our saves screwed
You could always use PSN Plus's Cloud Storage to copy the save file and then put it on another system. I had a few friends who did that when they got new PS3s. Worked perfectly.

Me personally, I got a new PS3 before Cloud Storage, but I had absolutely no problem whatsoever starting over from scratch. With so many character builds, there's a lot of variety.

Well, it turns out the whole thing was a miscommunication and you CAN delete the save file afterall. Carry on.
