This looks great. I will buy it, along with Pandora no Tou for my Japanese Wii eventually. I did buy The Last Story recently but have been too busy with other games to play it.
It is really cool how the Wii has 3 big awesome JRPGs to play. The Wii started off poorly but over the years, it has gotten many great games.
It would really be a damn shame if these games don't get released in America. It is very sad that NoA thinks that they won't sell. Do American gamers not like JRPGs anymore?
Xenoblade is finally out!

Of course they do. You do. I do. Everyone in this thread does. It's just that NoA are complete and utter jackasses. It's not really anything new, either.Inazuma wrote:Do American gamers not like JRPGs anymore?

Some people argue it's the markets fault and that could partially be true. Still, some niche' JRPG's like Demon Souls or whatnot still come around and can do pretty well in the end and this is Nintendo we're talking, even if this wasn't the ultimate Wii blockbuster I'm sure it'd sell pretty decently and wouldn't hurt them... the demand is obviously damn there when it's been sitting on the #1 spot on Amazon for several days now with the pre-order campaign, topping ZELDA OoT 3DS and other titles.Inazuma wrote:It would really be a damn shame if these games don't get released in America. The utter shit factor here is that Monolith Soft was purchased by Nintendo this gen, so I don't think it'd even be possible for other publishers like ATLUS or whatnot to pick this one up. It's in NoA's hands, and it frankly looks like they don't give a shit. Instead we need Zumba Fitness, Just Dance 2, Just Dance Kids, Cars 2: The Video Game, Michael Jackson: The Experience, Mario Sports Mix, Mario Party 3749, Biggest Loser Challenge, Gold's Gym Dance Workout, Disney Sing It: Family Hits with mic, Country Dance with Walmart Exclusive Track From Alan Jackson, and I'm done. No I'm not making these up.
But yeah, the Wii/DS has felt like the SNES all over again. There's been tons of games we're not getting localized at all again. I'm still pretty pissed about Fatal Frame 4 as well.

I still wonder how NoE managed to justify the costs for translating the text to English/French/German/Italian/Spanish ect. (ok I don't know how many of these will actually be an option, but I think it's mandatory by law to translate stuff to French and German in their respective countries), and NoA doesn't want to bother with it. The €-$ difference hasn't gotten THAT big. Probably idiot marketing people?

So... where's a good place on the net to pre-order UK games? Xenoblade is around the corner.

Well, I've done my part. I bought Last Story, Xenoblade and Pandora no Tou for the Japanese Wii. Not only do I get 3 excellent RPGs to play, but I helped increase the chance for NoA to release these titles in North America.
