Clean your games before you put them in the new connector! And if you don't need to push down, DON'T.

And don't use alcohol, it doesn't get them clean enough to save it from ruining your connector:

Works amazing. Try it. $6 for about 3000+ games cleans, depending how much you use per game.

Cleaned all my games before testing the consoles using alcohol, then this:

Then one last rub with alcohol...

Doesn't get any better than that...

Erasers are okay, but Wiemans gets them so much cleaner. It removes the film of dust that's developed on the connector over the years chemically. You're Doing It Wrong™ if you don't clean with wiemans, trust me.

I've tried it, and I've moved on to better things. Same advice to you, until you use it, don't knock it.

I never knocked it, I'm quite sure that product does the job perfectly. I'm just saying with the alcohol and eraser they look like new. Don't see how it can get any better than that...

Maybe it also depends on the kind of eraser you're using. The red & blue ones are very good. FYI, I only use the red side...
