Ok, you just got me hyped, does it means that I could play Phantasmagoria on the toilet?lisalover1 wrote:Mention me 3 merits of the Gizmondo, for what I've read and seen the only great things about the machine are the GPS and the WMP9 enhanced music player.
1. Incredible conversation piece.
2. Lots of neat homebrew and emulators.
3. A bunch of interesting unreleased games that have been leaked.
4. A laundry list of neat features. (Camera, 2G Cellular Data, GPS, Text Messaging, Web Browsing, etc.)
5. Can run a full version of Windows CE.
Hmm... I guess that's five.

Smile: Won a like new copy of Mario Galaxy 2 on ebay for $23.50
If any of you sold a copy of Mario Galaxy 2 on ebay for $23.50 today, feel free to put that down as your 'ticked'. I will not take it personally.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Ticked: 90+ degrees and humid as fuck don't go well together. It also kills motivation to do any kind of work outside (including MAME cabinet building)
Smile: Been enjoying sitting inside and watching Breaking Bad for the first time. I am partway through Season 2 so far and while it isn't the best show on TV, it is a damn good show.

Smile: Getting closer and closer to finding a job.
Ticked: Had a phone interview with a recruiter today for Farmers Insurance, and I'm not feeling too good about it.
... I could REALLY use this job right now and the pay is great for me, but yeah.
Well, I guess this is just that usual post-interview feeling. But yeah, it was more nerve racking than I thought it'd be, now... I really wish it was a face to face interview instead. It just sucks, it was only 20 minutes so I don't know if that made much of an impression at all. Minutes after it's over, I already feel like I could have said so many things much better than I did. Damn ambiguous interview questions!
Should be hearing back in the next few days or so if I'm a possible candidate and then there's a final interview after that.

Don't wait to hear back. Send them a thank you email or hand written letter tomorrow for taking time out to interview you. Bring up any and all things you thought went positive during the interview and request a follow up. Gotta stay aggressive but not annoying.Xeogred wrote: Should be hearing back in the next few days or so if I'm a possible candidate and then there's a final interview after that.
But yeah, a follow up in 24 hours is always a smart thing to do when applying for any job. It shows you want to work, and if you're working for an insurance company they'll want to see some conviction that you're the right guy for the job.
edit* Wow. I'm turning into my Father. But hey, it's very sound advice that will get you ahead of your competition.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Yeah that doesn't sound like a bad idea at all. The woman I talked to today has been the one that has emailed me information throughout the whole process, set the appointment for the pre-employment test I took last week, etc, so it'd probably be pretty easy to email her back saying thanks and all.
