How to haggle in Kid Icarus on FDS

Post by Jamisonia »

I'm playing Kid Icarus on the Famicom Disk System and I can't get the storekeepers to change the prices.

I've always read you're supposed to scream into the second controller with the mic, but that doesn't seem to work. I've tried saying English words, unintelligble words, the little Japanese I know, and nothing.

What am I supposed to say or do?

The economy's tough right now, man. The storekeeper's aren't making as many sales per day anymore, so they have to make up for it by pulling in more money per sale. Sheesh, I'd expect someone your age to understand something simple like that. If you don't want to pay their price, just shop elsewhere. You don't need to be screaming at people.

lol

for the record I figured it out. You have to stand directly under the shopkeeper in the middle of the room. Press and Hold A and B then make any noise into the mic, but it has to be reasonably loud to register.
