Why are you being a jerk? I said its my reccomendation. Its also Nintendo's. Take it or leave it. Personally, I don't see why you would take the chance when there's a perfectly fine rechargeable alternative, like the Sanyo Eneloops I linked too, that are very highly regarded rechargeables made in Japan. They cost $15 for 4 of them with the charger.

I link to it again:

You don't have to keep them constantly on charge because they maintain 75% of their life after 3 years. Its not good to keep a battery constantly on charge anyway. Yes these Wii chargers are supposed to be "smart" and stop charging, but thats not always the case, and, in my opinion, the most likely point of failure. The best thing about these is they can be used in other devices, like your camera!

The basic Nyko Wii Chargers cost roughly the same to charge two remotes around $15. The fancier ones cost $35 to charge 2.

I also haven't seen very many of these Wii Chargers we higher then 3 star average reviews on sites like Amazon.

So to sum up: Charging stands: not manufactuered or recommended by Nintendo, cost the same or more as rechargeable AA solutions, do not allow for use in the many, many other battery sucking devices that are part of modern life.

You don't have to listen to me. But there no reason to try to argue with me about it when I clearly have some point, and have had personal issue with one breaking a Wii remote.

I am not trying to "be a jerk". If you feel that way, I am sorry. However, any negative reaction to your comments would be because of this statement:
They break Wii remotes.
That statement is just too ridiculous. Sorry

For the cost of (8) eneloops (which I agree, are a nice battery, I use them on my dig. cameras) I bought my charging station - which came w/the (8) rechargeable batteries on top of the docking station of course.

Since I bought the station:
(0) battery changes
(0) broken wii-motes

No one is being a jerk - he/I are simply correcting an opinion that came across as fact.

As for warranties - those clauses about you must use this, you must use that are of course to protect the company from paying out on warranties. Its the same when you buy a new car, 5 year warranty *fine print* so long as you do zero maintenance yourself, use this brand of oil, have this checked by us every 12 months, etc, etc.

I forget the number, its obscene, something like 88% of all US consumers have never filed a warranty claim. I'm in the camp that generally registers my higher-end products and i've never filed a claim myself...yet the collective "we" are all so worried and spouting nonsense like "don't do that, it'll void your warranty."

I recommend a wii charging dock, particularly by nyko, more particularly the one I have based on the very small sample size that I personally know have used them and have suffered zero exploded batteries or otherwise crippled wii-motes.

Hey guys, look on the bright side. Even if your Wii controller gets broken there are like a trillion other replacements. :)

I don't have a Wii, but for a gun casing, I suggest the Buck Shot Shotgun.

Here is a video review by Classic Game Room:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiKddp8kexY

I used it on my friends Wii, and it plays like a dream. I love pump action guns IRL, so I'm kinda biased. It took me about 4 years to find a gunsmith to make my latest and custom rifle, which is a pump action that holds seven rounds. Its amazing.
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.
