Have a model1 sega cd giving me disc read errors. It's finicky, works sometimes, sometimes not. I am going to see how the lens looks, since the inside seems really dusty. However what is the best way to clean the lens?
I have these alcohol wipes for cleaning eyeglasses, would these be suitable?

I use a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol. Always worked for me.

Well just finished cleaning the lens, and now games are loading right away. Awesome! Didn't even seem like anything was on it, and inside was really clean. Guess the older cd-roms were really sensitive to dust.
