Nintendo 64 problem

Hello, I have n64 which has a problem, when I turning it on power led goes on, but there is no sound and video. I tried different ac adapters, jump/expansion paks, games, cleaned all contacts, but still there is no video and sound. What could it be case of this problem?

Two things:
You MUST have a game in. You probably know this, just making sure.

If you do and it is doing this, clean the contacts in the machine and in the game. Ask others for advice on this.

If you are sure that all the contacts are clean and the game and jumper arent dead then its almost def the caps. They are cheap to buy and easy to replace with some basic soldering skills

I cleaned all contacts, but still not working, by the way games works fine on other n64.

Have you tried a different AV lead? if its not that then def caps failure, had the same myself a few weeks ago

Try popping out and cleaning the jumper/expansion pack too.

I'm 100% sure that a set of new capacitors will fix the problem. Change them all while you are in there becuase if one has gone, the others wont be far behind

If you have power, but no video and sound - I assume you've tried a different AV cable? And your television is on the right input? Outside of that, it could be a bad expansion pak or something else. Keep in mind before doing or contraction out any work - bare N64 consoles are very cheap. You'll pay more for an expansion pack sold on its own than an actual bare console most times. If you can pick up an N64 in a game lot, they are almost free - if you buy just a console, $5-10 for the deck and whatever shipping or taxes go along with it.
