there was also a sequel to F-zero via the Satellaview:

Sorry, I should have mentioned you'd have to resort to emulators/repros to try out BS-Zelda, or the Link to the Past sequel/master quest (Ancient Stone Tablets). It would have been awesome to have the Satellaview here, because it got quite a few little goodies that it seems few people know about outside of the rom community.

BS F-Zero Grand Prix is a remix of F-Zero, while BS F-Zero 2 Grand Prix is a new game with new courses. (They both rock of course.)

The BS Zelda games are best described (and downloaded) here.

Sweet, the F-Zero's look awesome.

I've played and finished BS Zelda, it's definitely pretty cool. Is BS Zelda 3 worth a play though? Checking out some videos of it here and there.

Nintendo's current attempts at making each successive game innovative in some way isn't really a bad thing. I think they have done an excellent job of keeping the series fresh.
Because Nintendo has never officially released a US remake of the original some fans have attempted to do it themselves:

I found a modified version of BS-Zelda that plays okay on a SNES Powerpak.

Also some other good Zelda remakes:

Two more options besides emulators and repro carts:
1) Flash kits, such as the SNES Power Pak (among a few others)
2) "Backup" units, such as the GameDoctor SF7 (which can be purchased cheap at Tototek)

If you don't mind the minor inconvenience of using floppy disks and ROM conversion tools, I highly recommend option 2. It's easily the cheapest way to use real SNES hardware.

Personally I like the original Zelda just the way it is. I'm not really a huge fan of all the remakes as of late and after the Mario 25th anniversary crap in a box they released, I'd prefer if they just left Zelda alone.

The BS Zelda remake is cool though and is a must play experience for any Zelda fan. I have to admit though using the Sattleview mascot was ruining it for me. I downloaded the Link patch from this wesite and make it a much better experience. This website has all the patches to get the BS roms working on emulators with a patch that puts Link back into the star role of the game. http://bszelda.zeldalegends.net/bszelda.shtml
