What was the last movie you've seen?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Super 8 on Sunday, initially I thought the film would a love-child between "ET" and "Cloverfield," but it was not - I wasn't too fond about the whole viral-marketing and sub-projects of Cloverfield.
Super 8 is great by itself, as it is more mature and darker than ET.

Lola Rennt aka Run Lola Run. This film is still highly entertaining.. Three versions of alternate realities converge to make one fantastic thriller.

Rambo: First Blood Part II. First ever viewing. Hmmm it seems Rambo IV did spoil for me everything that came before it

I used to dislike that movie when I was younger (like 5 years old), but now I think it's a pretty good movie.Breetai wrote:The Goonies

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
i spent the past week house sitting a dog. they have hbo and showtime so i was able to watch a decent number of movies. probably my favorite was scott pilgrim vs. the world. i know some members here hate it, but i very much enjoyed it. in fact, i watched it twice. unfortunately, both times i missed the first 20 or so minutes.
knives and ramona are absolutely banging. i am not into the goth look, but i thought ramona's hair was sexy as hell and that she pulled it off well. then again, she could probably pull any look off well.
i absolutely loved how everything was over the top and i thought the movie perfectly blended real life with the video games/cartoon elements. and sex bob-omb might be the coolest band name ever.
and i have never read any of the books or comics or whatever they are. in fact, i didn't even knew they existed until the movie was released.

Transformers:Dark of the Moon
Still too much human in a transformers movie but it was cool to see the war on Cybertron for about 2 whole minutes

Spoilers to anyone who caresLuke wrote:OldSchool_Boy wrote:Transformers:Dark of the Moon

Nope. The first one will remain that just for the fact that it was the first real live action Transformers film and just works better because of that. There was some pretty decent action scenes but the wait to see them is not worth it. The ending battle with Optimus and Sentinel could of been better and Megatron didn't even need to be in the film at all and his death scene was whatever. Cool to hear Leonard Nimoy as Sentinel Prime but that's about it to be honest. Revenge of the Fallen film could burn in hell for all I care.
All I can hope from the outcome of these Box office receipts is other films featuring giant robots like Robotech will be made or possible a prequel with the main focus on just the war on cybertron.

Comic Book Confidential. Still awesome, though I kinda wanna see a sequel, that pretty much details comic book history since the first Comic Book Confidential. Maybe it'd talk about Japanese manga's rising popularity in America, big-screen adaptations, going digital, and many of the notable events (Marvel/DC/Amalgam), titles (The Crow, Spawn), and concepts that came out of the late '80s, as well as the '90s and '00s.
The Informers. Saw it before. Still good. Kinda waiting for the film adaptation of Glamorama, though I've never read the book. In fact, I'm still stuck on the novel Less Than Zero, and after that is American Psycho and then Glamorama. I've also recently gotten ahold of a preowned copy of the original Bret Easton Ellis novel of The Informers, but that's after Glamorama.
