The battery has nothing to do with the game.
HOWEVER, your actual physical Dreamcast does. So make sure you're playing on a piece of hardware that has some serious mileage left to go. When your Dreamcast dies, so does your character unless you can find a way to trick your VMU into thinking another Dreamcast is the same as the one you started on.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I'm pretty sure it has a while left in it, touch wood though.

I should mention as well that the most robust version of Phantasy Star Online for home consoles is PSO: Episodes I and II for the gamecube. It has more content, a couple extra character classes, and local multi-play.
The local multi-play is a nice addition since there are few feasible ways to get the online component to work anymore.

Yeah, Flake is correct. I *think* it's tied to the DC's mobo, but I could be wrong. Swapping out the controller port board and the GD-ROM unit don't seem to matter. That leaves just the mobo (unless it's somehow tied to the PSU). I don't know how it tells exactly, maybe someone knows more specifics?Flake wrote:The battery has nothing to do with the game.
