How to connect several Gamecubes at once?

Post by Erik_Twice »

I heard this is possible. How? What games support it other than Mario Kart?

you need 2 Broadband Adapters. The only other games besides MKDD that support it are Kirby Air Ride and 1080 Avalanche.

There's also the infamous 5 Cube 4 Swords setup, where you take four gamecubes with gameboy players and one controller, and use those to connect to a central cube using GBA-GC adapters. All five are connected to their own televisions, and then you have larger screens to play games such as Four Swords Adventures, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, and Pac Man vs.

I think you need a crossover cable.

You just connect the two GCN broadband adapters up using that cable. Each GCN is connected to its own TV.

If you're connecting more than 2 GCN you need a network hub or router. Just 2, use the crossover cable.

there's Nintendo's instructions. Its also possible to play Mario Kart and Air Ride online, by using a program that tricks the GCN into thinking they're in LAN play. We've talked about it a few times on racketboy, but we haven't actually gotten around to setting up some racketboy online play. I'd be down though if anyone else wants to do so. I have all the stuff needed.

Phantasy Star used to support regular online play, but the servers have been shut down.

At 60$ per adapter I don't think I'm doing this any time lol. Thanks for the help everyone.

look at gamestop, if you can find them in your area you can get them for 99 cents. Thats where I found mine at about 6 months ago. They might be hard to find, but if you search long enough I think you will find at least 1. And its not like there's a super high demand for these like GCN component cables.

For the LAN games like Mario Kart, could it work on a Wii? That might be a way for people to get around the BBA requirement.

No they do not. That would be awesome though. Your best bet to scour Gamestops. They have them, nobody buys them, you just need to look.
