Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
This weekend was a total bust for rummage sales, but I managed to find a "Super Games" chinese Famicom knockoff (the "64 controller") with both controllers at a pawn shop. $1.

Yes i completely agree with you on the guy not wanting to even get off his lazy ass and find the box but again..what if I tell him he would have let me look first and he ends up figuring out what he really truly does have in the box..he said he had a ton of games...sooo you know he may honestly be a complete tard and not know what he has or he is trying to pull a quick one on me wanting and just trying to get rid of the shit.... i think I am going to throw the idea of 25 bucks at him and see where that gets me..I do not want to buy a box of damaged carts in systems for 50 bucks and be out the money but then again i could gamble on it and come ahead ten folds of what i expected...I have zero atari games or systems for my collection....i just wish i had a system to bring in and test out some of the games before i bought em.....FUCKKKKKKK

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I still say sight unseen is a nono. Atari carts are dirt simple. Just a single chip on a board in a case. Unless they're so corroded that the metal traces and pins are gone they can probably be brought back to life with cleaning.Kahokian wrote:i just wish i had a system to bring in and test out some of the games before i bought em.....FUCKKKKKKK

Sounds like the laziest shop owner ever. Either that or he's trying to rip you off.Kahokian wrote:Yes i completely agree with you on the guy not wanting to even get off his lazy ass and find the box but again..what if I tell him he would have let me look first and he ends up figuring out what he really truly does have in the box..he said he had a ton of games...sooo you know he may honestly be a complete tard and not know what he has or he is trying to pull a quick one on me wanting and just trying to get rid of the shit.... i think I am going to throw the idea of 25 bucks at him and see where that gets me..I do not want to buy a box of damaged carts in systems for 50 bucks and be out the money but then again i could gamble on it and come ahead ten folds of what i expected...I have zero atari games or systems for my collection....i just wish i had a system to bring in and test out some of the games before i bought em.....FUCKKKKKKK

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
See thats the thing I personally feel he has no idea what he even has...these owners stated to me that the games like mario and zelda are the more expensive games (due to popularity) lol . Like i feel if I can take one peek at it Id know if it would be worth it. So like you said I should be able to look at the game and if there is no corrosion its a good bet they do work>? Because something tells me they really arent trying to fuck me..The 23 CIB nes games for 50 and 6 CIB unlicensed nes games for 10 bucks ( 5 for 3.28) and p'radikus conflict i paid 6 sumthn for. Like if they knew what they had I figured they couldnt possibly in their right minds sell it for that cheap. I know the unlicensed games are wanted and unwanted but if you looked the items up you could never put such a obscene low price on them. I think I may just honestly go in there and say 25 bucks and I will take it off your hands if your not gonna let me look before I buy..these guys really have no knowledge on what they have..I am 100% positive..i bought mortal kombat gold for DC for 2 bucks with the manual..lol like places do not do that when they know the value of the items they have!!! its so nerve racking

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Why don't you offer him $5-$10 down just to check them out? If it's junk, you saved yourself some money and he made a couple bucks for his time. If it's good - You win! Just don't let him know what he has. Do your homework before you go, don't bring papers in with you, don't obviously look up things on your phone. Do your best to know what's valuable, and what's not. If he's got a box of "combat" cartridges, just walk - you're only out a few bucks.i just wish i had a system to bring in and test out some of the games before i bought em.....FUCKKKKKKK
If you're not willing to do that, either pass or be prepared to live with what you get. Some of those common carts still house fun games.
