A close friend of mine has the same tat in the same place. Mod_Man and X-Freak met him at Animazement. He also has huge batman and joker tattoos on his calves. Isn't there a similar design that also includes the WW logo?

Yup!

I really do like the amalgamation of the logos on that one. They just coincide so well.

i didn't read this thread, but tattoos are fucking awesome and video games are also fucking awesome, and if you can do it right, you can get some seriously impressive gaming-related tats.

i have a friend of mine drawing up an altered beast-inspired back piece for me. one of these days i'll actually have the money to pay him to put it on me.

i also contemplated getting gunstar red and blue on the backs of my upper arms.

also, this:

I have a couple of tattoo ideas for myself, to be done when money permits one day.

I'd like to get a game related one, but I'm really not sure what I should get. There's a few things that would be good, but some of them are probably cliche.

You just gotta stay away from something that will look like you picked it off the wall in a tattoo shop (the really 2D cartoonish shit). If you know some one that can draw, and is a little creative, try and have them sketch up an idea for you. Even if you don't have an idea yourself, just tell them "Super Mario Bros. 3 is my favorite game" and have them come up with ideas for you.

You could revive the super played out tribal arm band by replacing the band with the millipede from the game MILLIPEDE. That could actually look pretty nice.

Not as cool as Andy Milonakis's "TEMPORARY" tattoo, but you could get creative with the idea.

Ok, here is my two cents, I am 23 years old, I love retro games, I love anime, and I love Metal music, I have One tattoo and I am a Aichmophobic. At the time when I got my first tattoo, I was really really depressed because the love of my life moved away (keep in mind, we are still friends), and I felt like I wanted a tattoo to at least feel better about myself, just a sign of encouragement, so I arrange an idea that I want to place something over my heart and I decided to add kanji and it meant "In The Light of Eternal Love", in a way in has a double meaning, I knew I had the right tattoo since I talked to the tattoo artist who is a girl, she gave me sort of a "thats so cute" kind of awe, so I went forward with it because I knew its going to be in good use.

Do I regret it? nope...I am happy that I did it and I am planning on getting more. It is also a big progression for me since I am a Aichmophobic.

UPDATE:
One more thing, I only get tattoos if it is something that has shit ton of meaning behind it, other than looking cool.

That honestly is awesome!

I almost did the same with the Superman symbol - alternating right side up and upside down to make the arm band.

Thanks SpaceBooger.

I also think the logo from Grand Prix for the 2600 has some cool possibilities, but I'm not an artist.
