IMPORTANT INFO:
Directions to Knoebels
*I'll hand out flyers with my address and directions on them when we meet up at Knoebels.
Meet @ 12pm near the benches between the Playland Arcade and the Roaring Creek Saloon and Gaming Parlor. I'll be the 5'7" guy with a beard and a white Phillies hat. PM me for my cell phone info if you want it.
You should certainly feel free to come earlier and explore the park instead of/in addition to playing arcade games, but it would be nice if we could all meet at the arcade and play some games before going to my house around 4:00.

Original Post:
I have been kicking this idea around since last summer, but I think it is time to gauge interest in a potential meetup for folks in and around PA and NY similar to what folks in TX and CA do regularly...
Specifically, I am interested in finding out how many would be interested in coming to a meetup/BBQ at Knoebels Amusement Park in Elysburg, PA sometime in mid-August (the 13th or 20th, probably). I chose this location for two reasons.
1) They have a decent arcade with about 30 machines in it. It's not the best arcade I've ever seen, but Playland Arcade is far from the worst. Knoebels is also a full-fledged and FREE amusement park (you pay per ride) that's a lot of fun for families, so you could bring your non-gaming friends and family members and they could also have a good time. Food and rides are very cheap, especially for an amusement park.
2) It is about 5 minutes from my home, so at some point we could come here and play console games for almost any system you might want. I can't offer a guest room, but I can offer private camping space on my property. Alternately, there's plenty of campgrounds and several hotels to stay in around here.
My current thinking is to spend time @ Knoebels from like 10am-4pm, and then afterward people can come over for gaming and a BBQ at my place, if they'd like.
I realize that we're mostly spread out across NY and PA. Knoebels is about an hour from Scranton, 90 minutes from Harrisburg or Allentown, 2 hours from Philly, NYC, or Binghamton, and probably about 4 hours from Pittsburgh. If this was something we decided to do once or twice a year, it would be great to see it move around from place to place...
Anyway, let me know if you'd be interested by posting below. We'll try to make a decision late this month.
