Japanese exclusives with English sound and or text

Post by insanecow0 »

This is the opposite of a thread that was on here very recently, as I am curious to know some import friendly games that have options like this. Some that come to my mind are Otostaz (PS2 puzzle game), Sin and Punishment for the n64, and Aconcagua (survival horror game for the PS1).

A bunch of SNK games did this, like Metal Slug 3D, for instance.

Every Cave shmup on the 360 except Akai Katana uses english for all the menu options. Story dialog is still in Japanese, but that's generally not a concern for people.

A LOT of arcade ports. Not all but A LOT of them. I'll try to think up a list later. Outside of arcade ports, not very much... D:

Vampire Savior on the Sega Saturn. Beating the game would allow you to run the game in English mode in it's Extra Options menu.

Only problem is that doing so would also have the game censored the same way it was when it was brought to America - with all the blood gone. Well, not gone: all the characters inexplicably bleed milk now.

Sin & Punishment (N64) has English voice acting (still Japanese text, though).

I had never heard of this and it looks pretty decent. Thanks for pointing this out! :D

Various simpler games look devoid of Japanese characters in game, not that I can really confirm it.

Give a try to basic stuff like Super Tetris 2 and Super Tetris 3 for SFC. I think Gradius Deluxe Pack on Saturn might be full English too.

Deep Fear is almost completely in english.

Also, Aconcagua looks great, I might get it.
