What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Boy, is my face a putrid shade of cinnabar.

But seriously, I keep forgetting that they have legal VOD on YouTube. I mean, I still hear "I saw |movie X| on YouTube" and think "I'm too good to support the studios so I'm gonna watch some pirated version online", but I'm glad to hear you watched it legally.

BTW, are you on the Repo Message boards? I'm Blind_Marko (essentially a TG version of Blind Mag, kinda like how Nadia and Schuyler Wallace are TG versions of Nathan and Shilo, and how the TG version of the Largos are Rottisma, Ambrose Suite, Pavicha, and Luiga... oh, and the TG version of Graverobber would be played by Lori Petty) over there.
No, but I should join soon, Repo: The Genetic Opera = Sex

Anyways, has anyone else seen it in here? If not GET THE F'ING MOVIE.
I've been saying for years how others need to see it. I also started a thread about the film.

Loved it. It's about an Irish family who emigrates to New York.

I totally recommend it. It's touching and wonderful.

DVR'ed it off of Fox Movie Channel.

But I can't watch the whole thing tonight cuz the Tony Awards are on tonight and I might give it a shot this year, even though I'm fickle about what musicals I give a chance (recently, Wonderland and Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark joined the list).

I just came home from the theater, from seeing Kung Fu Panda 2. It was better than the first one, I'd say. Didn't appreciate being forced to sit through an advertisement for Johnny Test's 5th season beforehand, though.

How to Train Your Dragon

It's a quality, fun animated movie for the family. I enjoyed it. The viking plus dragon theme is pretty cool. It was a logical combination. I'm guessing the book it's based on is pretty good too

The Tourist. It was predictable and the actors were not even acting decently despite being extremely talented.

I watched 9. It's a fun ride with great visuals, cool characters and lots of exciting action sequences.

Unfortunately, it's brought down by a story that doesn't really make any kind of sense and a disappointing ending. It probably should have stayed a ten minute short movie and not gotten the feature film treatment

I expected better as I had heard some good buzz about this movie, but it's all style and no substance

Watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part I. It was pretty much what I expected, it was like watching the build up part of the movie and quitting right when it's getting good. I'm glad I watched this on Blu-ray and not in the theater. Looking forward to the next one.

Also watched Thor in the theater and enjoyed it a lot. Again, my expectations were properly set: fun, campy, action movie. That's what I got!
