OMFG I BEAT CASTLEVANIA 3!

Last boss was actually not that hard.

Now I just gotta find the time to finish Treasure of the Rudras. I was expecting to have nothing but free time this summer but in the past few weeks I've actually had relevant things keeping me busy (not that video games aren't relevant, but... you know what I mean). I doubt I'll be able to complete my challenge in its entirety but I'll try.
I'm known as ZebetiteGlitch or Zeza Von Thantos on other platforms.

So in their place: Castlevania: Circle of the Moon and Super Mario Kart Super Circuit.

I am taking a break from Tales of Symphonia to do some Circle of the Moon. I have owned this game for years but never put more than a couple of minutes into it. The games biggest weakness on the actual GBA hardware is that it is so dark - but on a GB player on a big screen TV, that really works for it. It makes the game feel like a poor mans Symphony of the Night.
good choices. You're right about COTM and being way too dark for regular GBA. Which was stupid since it was a launch title. But yeah, if you play it on hardware that makes it visible, it's a really impressive little title.

Mario Kart Super Circuit is just flat out excellent though. I love that game.

Thats a shame. Bangai-O is easily one of my top 3 Dreamcast favs and one of the funnest games I've ever played period. I had such a good time the first time I played it.

Anyway, I spent some more time on FFXII tonight and got to around 16 hours in. I watched a lot of cutscenes and then went to the Vierra town. After that I'm supposed to track down someone named Mjrn. I have no idea where to go and spent another large chunk of time wandering and grinding. I keep feeling like an idiot while playing this game. It seems like I'm having a lot of trouble progressing for some reason. I have a personal rule that I never use a guide of any kind during my first playthrough of a game, and I havnt broken that rule in at least 5 years (probably closer to 10). But this game is seriously making think about going that route.

Just got to the nightmare you were talking about, Noise. That was really cool; I didn't see it coming at all! I almost beat it, too; I had it down to about 80 HP before it killed me. Yeah, I know I wasn't supposed to beat it, but I wonder what would happen if you did?

I take back what I said about Circle of the Moon being like a poor man's Symphony of the Night. I was totally wrong.

Circle of the Moon is better than Symphony of the Night.

Two things I cannot believe:

A) This was a launch title for the GBA - it looks so good!
B) I waited this long to give it my full attention.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

y'know, it's funny Flake. I want to argue that Symphony Of The Night is technically better. But I really can't come up with any reasons why.

I loved Circle of the Moon. One of my favorite Castlevania games, and one of the first games I bought back when the GBA came out. Glad to see that you like it!
