Re: Video Pinball
Anyone else got some Who earworm going on here?
Anyway, outside of the Naxat Crush games and Sonic Spinball, I never really bothered all the much with Pinball Video Games.
There's always Pinmame, and some others to emulate the different real life machines. Never figured it out myself, but the options there.
Actually I remember an old PC game I had for DOS. I think it was called Crystal Caliburn ....or something

Re: Video Pinball
The sad thing is that Balls of Steel for the PC made by the same company is excellent. The ball just moves too fast and it is otherwise wonky on the PS1. It's like they made it on the PCs with the same engine, then someone converted it to PS1 really badly.Weekend_Warrior wrote: Playable but sucks: Kiss Pinball (PS1)

Some actual Kiss music might have helped, too!Hobie-wan wrote:The sad thing is that Balls of Steel for the PC made by the same company is excellent. Re: Video Pinball
I love Pinball FX 2 for the 360. I had the original so my four tables there mapped over for free. From there I purchased the Marvel 4-pack, Fantastic Four (stand-alone outside of those four) and the Street Fighter tables. Fantastic Four is by far my favorite. Street Fighter definitely the most challenging score-wise.
Oddly enough, in a NES/SNES lot I got a while back, I got a CIB Pinbot NES. Box is in rough shape but it's there. I need to add it to a trade list (not that it's that rare i guess).

Re: Video Pinball
Just for fun, an update of my pinball pile. I actually just won a complete Pinball of the Dead that will be replacing my naked cart soon. I found my sleeve for Pinball Construction Set, so that made me happy. Flipnic I actually forgot to picture last time. New since last time are Rock N Ball, Revenge of the Gator, Digital Pinball Last Gladiators & Necronomicon, Pro Pinball Big Race USA, Time Cruise, Kiss Pinball, Austin Powers Pinball, and Ruiner Pinball. Gottlieb is gone, just couldn't get into the older tables.
I just realized I put down Metroid Prime Hunters instead of pinball and I forgot 2600 Pinball again. Ah well.

Very awesome collection there, Hobie! How's Necronomicon on Saturn? I really want to try that one!

Re: Video Pinball
It's good stuff. Kaze's SNES pinball games are kinda meh, but the Saturn games are really good. Necronomicon is better than Last Gladiators IMHO. The bits of dialog are cheesy, but hey, it's pinball, story is even less of a concern than it is for a shmup.Rurouni_Fencer wrote:Very awesome collection there, Hobie! How's Necronomicon on Saturn?
