I've been a Duke fan since he was starring in sidescrollers, and I will support this game.
So I'm not the only person who still likes Duke Nukem 2.

What's the point of this thread, anyway?
"Rah rah, DNF sucks."
"No man, you just don't UNDERSTAND, you weren't THERE."

There's some truth to that.

Nope, I actually think it's an excellent platformer that has aged very well.

The original Duke Nukem games ain't so bad neither.

While I'm at it, I found Manhattan Project to be pretty damn fun too.

I think that in this one instance 'rushed' is probably the adjective you should choose.
When I say rushed, I mean when Gearbox took the reigns - which was only back in 2009. It's in the air how much was actually salvageable from 3D Realms, considering how many times the game was scrapped and restarted.

I still think people need to lay off on pegging Gearbox so much though. Sure they themselves probably could have put a little more polish on some stuff here and there but they probably simply wanted to make the impossible happen and get the game out before it never happened, for better or worse. Not to mention I don't think they're a HUGE developer like some of the other companies out there, yet they're already taking on like 3 different projects or more right now. They probably just wanted to fund this damn thing and get it out there for the novelty.

I just want Borderworlds/Borderlands 2 from them, the first game was incredibly addictive and I must've sunk about 200 hours or more into it.

I've heard people say it was good, but I haven't heard anyone say it as good as DN3D. Doesn't mean it's not, but I haven't heard anyone say it yet.

Kotaku is calling this game "a mess" now, too.

So far the consensus is that it's very poor :?

Yea most of the reviews are around 5/10 or so.

But I hate Kotaku. Gawker and it's sites stir up fake controversy and do anything else for page views.
