Probably the only scene I really like better than its original counterpart.
Those scenes were what originally sold me on TTS. His scenes were really cool, plus I like Rob Paulsen, his VA.

Silent Hill HD Collection changes voice actors

Dunno how I feel about this. :(

From the chunk I played of 2, James' voice was pretty cool and fitting.

Better that this happen to the Silent Hill collection than the MGS or ZOE collection.

The ZOE collection probably would have benefited from that actually

lol, yeah. First game especially. Actually would have been VERY cool is if they just completely replaced the main character in ZOE1 with someone else! :o

Heather Mason was named after her voice actress though... that'd be pretty shitty of Konami to suddenly replace her.

I was planning to sell off my old copies of 2 and 3 in anticipation for this, but now I think I'll hold onto them.

Yeah I'm kind of skeptical now. Not to mention grainy / lower (or should I just say normal) video quality for these games is probably just fine anyways, compared to seeing them cleaned up. Considering the kind of games they are.

It's like when I watched some really low quality video rips of Boogiepop Phantom several years ago, the crappy video quality actually made it more awesome. HD'ing these kind of games might kind of take away some charm I guess, who knows.

Oh hellz no!!!

What's the point of having an HD collection anyway? I think the PC versions pretty much step the graphics up to the max already.

You can't replace Guy Chihi, man. I might just import the collection if it adds any significant content not already available. Otherwise...

Just to have it on console for the sake of convenience I guess. Plus, Silent Hill 2 at least has a few sound errors in windows XP and getting the game to do 16:9 is a bit involved (though it looks AWESOME when you get it done).

@Xeogred, running the PC versions in a high resolution manages to not lose any of its charm in my book, even with the grain turned off. If anything, it gives you a REALLY great look at the graphics.
