re-watched Planet Terror but with friends so there was no chance in listening to the audio commentary
I will though soon to prove the Carpenter theory.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
maybe that was his intention, but it comes off a lot more Return Of The Living Dead, Demons, or other over-the-top 80's cinema. Don't ya think? Things like Pieces and Spit were far more grimey and realistic feeling. Planet Terror was all "Look at me! I'm a movie! I'm fake! Yay!" It's a lot more fun than exploitation.KillerJuan77 wrote: Actually, it's meant to be a tribute to exploitation films, films like Zombi 2, Cannibal Holocaust, I Spit On Your Grave, Ms. 45, The Toxic Avenger, Buio Omega, Sledgehammer, Pieces, etc.
BTW, Alice Sweet Alice is wonderful.

You've got a point, and yes, Alice Sweet Alice is fantastic, the soundtrack, the atmosphere, it's so creepy.noiseredux wrote:maybe that was his intention, but it comes off a lot more Return Of The Living Dead, Demons, or other over-the-top 80's cinema. Anyways, I just rewatched Repo: The Genetic Opera on YouTube (The whole film is in there for free. IN HD.) for like the 100th time, I still love it. Anyone who likes musicals or gothic horror should give it a shot.

I watched the Dilemma last night, worth a rental
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Finished watching Six Feet Under the other day. A very good series overall. I really enjoyed it. I wasn't really fond of the second season, but I'll forgive them their sophomore slump. Seasons 3-5 I breezed through much faster by comparison.
I will say though that the last episode was probably one of the most fitting endings I've seen for a series. I just thought those last few minutes were just about the perfect way to end that show.

While I'm glad you like it (and have seen it more than me apparently), how DARE YOU!!!!!!KillerJuan77 wrote: Anyways, I just rewatched Repo: The Genetic Opera on YouTube (The whole film is in there for free. By watching it for free on some video-streaming service, you're depriving the filmmakers from the money they need to finish it. I mean, after about three years this November, they have YET to break even and then people like you swear you love the movie and do you make sure the filmmakers get their dues? No.
You just cheated them out of hard-earned money, which should be going towards finishing this great film. And yes, the movie really IS unfinished. Whether it's the scene(s) with the (unofficially named?) Repo Man known as The Bishop or the further trials of Shilo as she traverses the GeneCo building.
Now go out and buy the DVD, even if you got a Blu-Ray player.
If you've got a Blu-Ray player, also get the Blu-Ray.
Then buy the album. iTunes has the deluxe edition.
Then buy copies of the movie and soundtrack for all your friends.
And support your local shadowcast(s), if applicable. If not, start a shadowcast at your theater.
And you'll do all of this because you really love the film.

Actually, I own the DVD and the Blu-Ray, plus... http://www.youtube.com/movie?v=MoeYcnTHhSk
It actually is legal, Lionsgate UK uploaded it, I saw it on recess and I snagged a few other fans.

Boy, is my face a putrid shade of cinnabar.
But seriously, I keep forgetting that they have legal VOD on YouTube. I mean, I still hear "I saw |movie X| on YouTube" and think "I'm too good to support the studios so I'm gonna watch some pirated version online", but I'm glad to hear you watched it legally.
BTW, are you on the Repo Message boards? I'm Blind_Marko (essentially a TG version of Blind Mag, kinda like how Nadia and Schuyler Wallace are TG versions of Nathan and Shilo, and how the TG version of the Largos are Rottisma, Ambrose Suite, Pavicha, and Luiga... oh, and the TG version of Graverobber would be played by Lori Petty) over there.

Just watched Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders, via MST3K. It was hilarious, as usual. Talk about demonic kid's movies! So much was wrong in it. A monkey that tries to kill a whole family, pets included, one member at a time. The world would have been better off had Merlin just closed up shop and destroyed all his stuff.
