I will grant that interconnectivity is legit and should be the standard when it comes to arcade titles etc. Achievements(for those people that like those) should be cross platform as well.

I really liked Sony's conference this year. Especially since they mainly focused on their exclusives rather than do what Microsoft did with pissing 45 minutes away with the usual multi-platform "killer apps."

Ya know, I'm not big on handheld systems. Never have been. But the Vita really impressed me with the touch control on the Uncharted demo. Not just because of the touch control itself, but rather how natural and seamless it looked while watching the gameplay.

I'm not completely sold on the system. That'll come down to the games. But I liked what I saw today.

With Resistance 3... I thought the framerate was very impressive. Is it supposed to be 60fps? It sure looked like it to me. And to play this game in 3D with the Sharpshooter.. I bet that would almost be like a religious experience. Very cool stuff. I honestly like where Sony is going right now with their technology and gaming experiences. I think they're in a very good position right now despite all their recent troubles online.

AND YES! New Sly Cooper!! :D I was very excited to see this new trailer. This is one of the sequels that I've been waiting for since the release of the PS3. And "Thieves in Time" is a cool name. I'm sure this will be in 3D as well :P

Also, HD remasters of the God of War PSP games is a smart move. This way all the God of War games will be playable on the PS3 in high definition with the Dual-Shock. 8)

The only thing really missing was a God of War IV announcement. But maybe they're going to save that for PS4?

I know the new Nintendo console is what everyone (including myself) has been waiting for at E3. But I really have to commend Sony on an excellent presentation. They publicly addressed their recent online security troubles with what seemed like some honesty and a bit of sincerity rather than ignoring the issue completely, and then they delivered a very well-rounded show with nothing but GAMES instead of half of the stupid tv and internet shit that Microsoft is trying to sell everyone on their system. AND I OWN AN XBOX 360. I STILL DON'T OWN A PS3 YET! So it's not me being biased here at all. I'm just saying Sony put on a great show and didn't dick around very much, unlike years past.. or Microsoft this year.
"Welcome to the circus of values!"

Currently Playing: Crysis (360), Destiny demo (PS3), Roadblasters (MAME)

This E3 has been really disappointing for me so far. I haven't seen a single game I'm even slightly interested in (besides Ico/SotC Collection, but that doesn't count). Hopefully Nintendo will have something. I've only watched the Sony and part of the Microsoft pressers along with what's passed by on some of the bigger gaming sites. Are there any awesome small games I may have missed? I know the floor doesn't open til tomorrow, so maybe I just need to wait.

I agree; Sony put a whole lot of effort into this year's presentation. I was really impressed by the new TV bundle; $500 for a 3D TV is really good! Also, the demos shown for the Vita were great. My favorite was the track editor in ModNation Racers; it seems like that was one of the best practical applications of the hardware.

I didn't post it, just saw someone else who did. My username is the same as it is here, NevérGoBak, how about you?

EDIt: My most recent post is one from the bottom of the E3 thread in Chat, just above "Unending Rainbow"

Oh, cool. I just replied to your most recent post there. [My username is Ristar] ;) I'll be posting on RainbowDashNetwork during Nintendo's conference.

Are you going to get rid of your PSP? BC is so overrated, especially amongst retro gamers who retain old hardware!

not necessarily, but I always like the idea of one piece of hardware that plays a lot of stuff. I loved that GBA played GBC and GB libraries. So I didn't have to keep 3 different Game Boy systems accessible. That's why I wish PS3 still played PS2. Then I wouldn't need to keep my PS2 hooked up at the same time. To me BC isn't overrated. It's convenient.

I have to say, congrats to Nintendo on the eShop. From what I have seen, its features already at least match that of PSN [Video Previews, User Reviews, Retail Demos, etc.].

It seems pretty robust compared to the Wii or DSi stores. Pricing and support are going to be key, though.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I think that Nintendo should be gunning for the level of ease and sophistication found in smartphone app stores, the kind of environment that leads to impulse purchases. I think the best way Nintendo can get a leg up in this respect is to encourage content sales, and to advertise them when available. Another thing is to remove as many steps as possible in the purchase of a downloadable game. At most, there should be 3 steps: Select the Game, Confirm Purchase, and Download.

I hope the PS VitamitaVegamin supports ps3 controllers. I found the original PSP awkward to hold for an extended period of time.

2 hours till Nintendo

I really just want to know a date for the release of Battle Block Theater. Everything else is just gravy. Though knowing my luck there wont be a date. Oh and Toy Soldiers PC, hopefully with coop.
