Hmm...my girlfriend and I have reached a mental conundrum. She had a PSN account, so we've received the two free games. We picked Little Big Planet as one of them, but now we have no idea what to take for the second. I don't care for Wipeout, as I'm not a racing fan (and she isn't much of one either), Dead Nation reminds me too much of Alien Swarm, and every time I see inFamous, I laugh about that Mega64 Magic City Man video("This is the citiest game I've ever played!"). But Super Stardust looks to be nothing more than a 3D asteroids game...

So the point is that I need help. Which of these would probably interest me the most?

Infamous is one of the best sandbox games of all time and is a real blast. A top 10 game for the PS3, I think. Calling Super Stardust a 3d Asteroids game is....so wrong. It is a twin stick shooter that largely preceded the recent deluge of twin stick shooters and is so much better for that. It has some very interesting mechanics in terms of weapons, an amazing sense of speed, and it has probably been my favorite PSN game ever since I got a system in the summer of '08. It is gaming crack.

You can't go wrong with either, although as noted above you'll be able to pick up Infamous in physical form very cheaply soon.

Also, why aren't you my PSN friend? Asshole.

Try the Super Stardust HD demo. It's more like Geometry Wars than Asteroids.

Ok cool, all I have to go on is video footage. My girlfriend really liked Geometry Wars, so we'll probably go for that.

As for why I'm not your friend, it's because it's her PSN account, and I don't play much online (read: Ever).

For what it's worth, racing games are at the very bottom of my list, but I think Wipeout HD is one of the best games on the console. It's much more than just a "racing game".

Can't go wrong with Super Stardust either.

I didn't see it in the demo section, or maybe I just missed it.

I did get a code with the Borderlands GOTY Edition, so is now the time to use that code?
