Can't get lode runner the legend returns to work on my win 7 computer. Argh.
And I think the wiimote could be used as a trackball alternative for a segasonic arcade port.
Games You Wish Would Get Ports
Re: Games You Wish Would Get Ports
I second Bangai-O for the same reason. For that matter, a port of Silhouette Mirage would be nice... preferably a localization of the Saturn version, or at least a rebalanced PS1 version that doesn't make me want to yell and scream, I have Bangai-O HD for that.
Suikoden II on PSN would be nice. I'd like to see Thunder Force V and VI downloadable too.

I would love to see all of the Panzer Dragoon games - including Saga - ported to the Wii. (Perhaps, SEGA would even update the graphics a bit...I can only dream.)
It would be nice to see Zwei and Saga redone in HD (and the first one!).
Panzer Dragoon Orta also has a port of the first game as an unlockable. I assume it's based on the Windows version.

Re: Games You Wish Would Get Ports
I agree there are a lot of shoddy ports on the Wii, but - after spending some time with Sin & Punishment: Star Successor - I think the system is just as good for rail shooters as it is for light gun games. (Also, my dream port would not be shoddy and would not require motion controls.)dsheinem wrote:Ugh. Sorry, I disagree. The industry needs to stop porting things other than light gun games to the Wii, as FAR too often the ports are shoddy, require motion control, or both.prfsnl_gmr wrote:We are missing the obvious...

Personally, I would love to see ports of games like 'NAM 1975, Cabal, Wild Guns, Rez, or - for that matter - the original Sin & Punishment, where I use the Wii remote to control the reticule. After playing Sin & Punishment: Star Successor, it just feels unnatural to control both the reticule and my avatar with a control stick.

I do. They're so fun to bounce around on.BoringSupreez wrote:So I guess you're that one guy who actually likes the bullet bill hell levels.DinnerX wrote: In that case, I want a collection of ports of every 2D-gameplay Mario game, redone in the art style of Super Mario All Stars, with NSMB Wii multiplayer added, plus the option to add extra items like was done with the SMA4 e-cards, and a full featured level editor. And I want it on the Wii because it's the latest Nintendo home console and it should have enough power to handle all the bullet bills that are going to be on screen in my custom levels.
I was mainly thinking of making super hard levels to torment other people. Heh heh heh...Perhaps an autoscrolling level made entirely out of bullet bills and cheep-cheeps with no platforms and lots of falling invincibility stars to avoid.
I remember reading somewhere that Sega lost the source code to Panzer Dragoon Saga, so it would be hard for them to make a port of it.prfsnl_gmr wrote:We are missing the obvious...

Re: Games You Wish Would Get Ports
The Simpsons Arcade and Star Wars Trilogy Arcade spring to mind. If they came out for the PSN tomorrow you can bet your ass I would go get a PSN card and go download those games ASAP. I wouldn't mind a Final Fantasy Collection for PS3 with the original versions of the games (1-6) plus 2D remakes akin to FF1,2, and 4 for the PSP of the first 6 games, plus 7-9 thrown in for good measure. All on one BluRay disc of course
NES, SNES, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GCN, Wii, PS3, 360, GB, GBC, GBA, GBA SP, PSP 3000, and 3DS XL

Dungeons and Dragons:Shadow over Mystara(An improved port with reduced load times from the Saturn one would be nice and full four player support)
