Re: PSN is back!
The main key to enjoying LBP is playing with other people. I enjoyed the story mode of the game and unlocking everything well enough, but it wasn't until I got my wife and and occasionally a few friends to play with me that it's awesomeness really clicked.Betamax001 wrote:It's weird cuz I normally like 2D Platformers. Re: PSN is back!
Has anyone tried doing "download in background"? It doesn't seem to work for me. I select it and after a minute, I still see the game in the list with the option to download it.
I tried a few times and have given up on it. I'm doing the regular download now of Wipeout HD. Then I'll do Infamous.

Super Stupid Question Time
What are the benefits of PlayStation Plus? I understand they get free themes and avatars (Useless to me) and free games every month that they only get to keep for that month. Also there are occasionally special sales going on for only the Plus subscribers.
Is there something else that I'm missing?

I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

Super Stardust HD makes my eyes burn. Any tips on blinking while trying not to die?

No. Don't waste your money. Unless you like wasting money. In that case, go wild.MrEco wrote:Is there something else that I'm missing?

I was never planning on it. I was just wondering if the 30 free days of Plus were something to be slightly excited for or not.brunoafh wrote:No. Don't waste your money. Unless you like wasting money. In that case, go wild.MrEco wrote:Is there something else that I'm missing?

Re: PSN is back!
Well, I just failed hard. I went to get my free game's on my PS3, and somehow managed to get past the buggy network to get the vouchers for downloading the games. But, I thought I could download the vouchers individually and then download the games later. But, afterward, I realized that you could only download the games immediately after downloading the voucher. So, no free games for me.
Is there any other way to get the games?
Re: PSN is back!
There were sales on Infamous before it was announced for the welcome back promo. It was going for 10 dollars. I would not be surprised to see it hit that price again and stay that way.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:inFamous, Stardust is cheaper and can be bought later.
Don't see why free themes and avatars are useless, sure not the best thing, but its nice to download them and have some variety.MrEco wrote:Super Stupid Question Time

But anyways, to answer your question, aside from what you said, you get the following:
-Cloud Save Storage 150MB or 1000 files
-Early demo and game Betas if they fall into the time frame of your subscription (Uncharted 3 beta does)
-Automatic downloads and installs on recently played games, so you don't have to sit and patch before you play
-Free episodes of Qore
-Full game trails, an hour long rental of a full game, to try it out. Being the full game, no features are locked out.
Oh and those sales are not occasional, they are every content update of the store. We will be seeing 2 a week for quite a while.

You can select the games from there.
