Videogames from countries other than USA and Japan?
Re: Videogames from countries other than USA and Japan?
1C is from Russia. They develop King's Bounty, IL-2 Sturmovik (flight sims), Majesty and a lot of other solid games.

Most game companies in Brazil specialize in mobile, advergames or other smaller scale projects. However, sometimes there shows up some bigger stuff:
Taikodom: It's basically an EVE Online clone by Hoplon Infotainment.

Outlive: It was a 2000 RTS released by Continuum. It was published by Take-Two, one of the few Brazilian games to ever have been published like that. And the box art is pure gold:

ROBOTICS VERSUS GENETICS!

Ever since my first video game (Super Mario Brothers), I've been a huge fan of Japanese games. Most of the games I buy and play are Japanese. I also generally dislike games from other regions. However, my current favorite game is actually Korean.

I originally thought that Korean style games were shitty. Bad graphics, cash shops, weird playtime restrictions, etc. But after trying out and falling in love with Dungeon Fighter Online, I have a different opinion.
There is another Korean game I have my eye on, that launches in America this year, called Dragon Nest.

I saw some gameplay footage of that once and have noticed you plugging it in some threads. It looks pretty badassInazuma wrote:Ever since my first video game (Super Mario Brothers), I've been a huge fan of Japanese games. Most of the games I buy and play are Japanese. I saw the pic before I read what you said and thought, "Is that a new Prince of Persia game?"J T wrote:Garshasp: The Monster Slayer was created by Iranian developers and the game is based on Persian folklore:

If you watch videos, it looks like a huge clusterfuck of random shit. It is a big mess. I suggest downloading it yourself and trying it out. It's completely free, unless you buy stuff from the cash shop, so it doesn't hurt to try. It starts off much more simple and easy, so you can figure out what's going on. If you think Streets of Rage is even remotely fun, then you will love Dungeon Fighter Online. It is about one million times better than Streets of Rage. The battle system is beat em up style, but it also has fighting game and RPG elements to it.Gamerforlife wrote:I saw some gameplay footage of that once and have noticed you plugging it in some threads. Oh, me and my brother both currently play Dungeon Fighter, took a giant, not-really-intentional break and I practically have to relearn how to do everything, but he's jumped right back into it. I'm waiting until I get a USB controller in the mail, cuz' I just don't like the keyboard's feel. PM me your username and we could friend you, and maybe fight dungeons with you.Inazuma wrote:Ever since my first video game (Super Mario Brothers), I've been a huge fan of Japanese games. I feel the same, my favorite is always gonna be japanese developer. i think they just have the art and style for it. Second would be US game developers because they do make some blockbuster fps lol. As for Koreans naaa not a fan of their style...their style seems like off beat Russian developers.
