I AM GENUINELY SHOCKED THAT SONY DIDN'T DO MORE TO PREPARE FOR THE INEVITABLE HEAVY TRAFFIC THAT WOULD HIT ONCE THE DEAL WENT LIVE
Speaking as someone who deals with fleet scaling all the time at work, I'm not too annoyed at Sony for this. Ramping up your fleet for a one time burst isn't exactly cost effective.

Grabbed the new Wizardry game this morning and rolled my party. But I think when I get home tonight I'm gonna reroll my Elf to get the 39 bonus points I need for her to be a Ninja right off the bat.
Didn't your company just have do this with the Lady Gaga thing? Isn't that a one time deal?

So I downloaded Dead Nation, but genuinely have no idea what do about game #2 as I have the others. I wish I could gift it or something. Maybe there's a way to get the EUR or JPN account I registered to work for the second game? Or...can I technically get six games for the PS3 on one system? Is there a welcome back package for Japan?

FYI, Dead Nation requires a 180MB patch AFTER downloading it. So I am installing that now. Would love to try co-op with some of you later...

I'll definitely be getting Dead Nation, so I look forward to playing it with you.

Ya know, once the store is back up.

You didn't lose out on the games. You can go into Account Management -> Transaction Management -> Services List -> SCEA Promo (or SCEE if in europe) and select the games you want from there.

I had all but Dead Nation so I grabbed Wipeout again as I did not have the Fury DLC. As well, I can confirm that each account you have allows you to grab two PS3 games from the region the account is registered too. I took Ratchet and LBP from my UK account. So yes, you can get six games, though the Japan store is not up yet (neither is PSN for them, the goverment is holding them up or some such).

I was also able to grab two PSP games on my Canadian account, despite not having a PSP. Option was not there for my Euro account, which was odd.

coolness. thanks for the info. when the servers aren't so overloaded I will definitely try updating my passwords for the other regions and getting those games. Extending the PSN+ for a few months is an excellent idea as well!

Stores being hammered ya, but its not as bad as early today. I was actually able to redeem my free games and all the free playstation plus stuff by just continually trying. At least on my main account. Only got two of the games on my UK account and I couldn't sign on to my US one.

Also, has anyone played Dead Nation? I heard its like a twin stick shooter, which I am a fan of. I think I would have more fun with that than inFamous if it plays like Smash TV or something :D

I tried the first level of DN after downloading it today, and while it is ok...based on initial impressions I would strongly recommend downloading infamous instead. Infamous is one of the top experiences on the system, and Dead Nation feels like a slow paced, methodical twin stick shooter - slower than what I am used to (and much less manic than something like Smash TV). Both are fun, but infamous is much much better.
