Re: MVS Cabinet Monitor Scrolling

Well, I feel like an idiot, yet I couldn't be prouder. I was taking another look at the cabinet, and taking a close look at the monitor board. I noticed that while the horizontal hold knob was on the board, the vertical hold-labeled area had no knob. It did, however, have two wires coming out of it. Out of curiosity, I followed the wires, and they lead down and away back into a hole near the front of the cab. I cautiously pulled on the cable, and found it was suspiciously loose. I kept pulling, until a small circuit board with six knobs popped out. One of the knobs was labeled "V.Hold". I fiddled with it for a few seconds, and presto, the image was stable! I am really glad that I don't have to spend a huge chunk of change to get it repaired. And to think this little bugger hiding was the cause behind it all!

Nice job solving your issue. That's definitely a good feeling to have. That's the kind of investigative work you need to do to solve a lot of problems.

Some of my favorite moments involve that feeling. It's a wonderful thing for something so cool to get fixed so easily.

Glad you got this fixed, I had to adjust my brightness and contrast a little bit.

Just don't post your solution on N-G...you'll get flamed for life. Yes, most monitors have a remote control running to the front so you can SEE the changes.
