X'Eye freezes Genesis games. Any idea?

For some reason my X'Eye is freezing my Genesis carts. I only have 3 carts to test right now, but all do the same thing. I get the first Sega license screen, then black screen. Any ideas?

i have a handful of games that do this.

i was once able to get one of the bum games to work once. and only once. then there is another game i have that works perfectly fine in one system but freezes at the licenses screen on another. the system that the game freezes in plays all other games perfectly fine.

i saw this on another forum and everybody swears by it. it might be worth a shot.

I swear I didn't sell you a lemon, noise I'd give the cart port a good cleaning. Strange it gets to the Sega logo BEFORE going black though

I don't think you sold me a lemon. Yeah it just shows the license screen (white text on black) and then freezes black. So what do I use to clean the cart port? Probably just dirty.

Do you have any contact cleaner? I'd shoot a few blasts into the cart slot. I recommend anything DeOxit. Not all contact cleaners are created equal. You also might want to inspect for bent or irregular looking pins with a small flashlight.
