Im glad I got your copy then because I rather enjoyed it. Didn't encounter any bugs and thought some of the jokes that poked fun at other games were good. Sure paying full retail for it or going in expecting something more would have left me dissappointed and mad, but I knew what I was getting into so I had fun.dsheinem wrote:Having played it, it deserves all the shit it gets. Re: Underrated Games
Genesis:
Evander "Real Deal" Holyfield's Boxing *I still think this the best boxing game ever. Awesome career mode!*
Super NES:
NHL Stanley Cup *Some hated the 3D gameplay, but I really liked it. I was ready for something different than EA's NHL games every year*
Saturn:
Street Fighter: The Movie *I will defend this version until the day I die. I think it plays great*
Center Ring Boxing *I've never even heard anyone mention this game before! But it's very good*
Nintendo 64:
Mace: The Dark Age *To me, this is the "Soul Calibur of the N64." Played the fuck out of it*
Sony PS1:
Aces of the Air *A lot of people bashed this game on Amazon. I dunno why, I think it plays alright with nice-enough graphics*
Sony PS2:
Mobile Light Force 2 *Forget the ridiculous "Charlie's Angels-style cover," Castle of Shikigami rocks!*
Shox *How can this awesome rally game by EA Big be so unheard of? This game is the epitome of a hidden gem and underrated racing game!"
Killzone *The framerate and audio are shit, but it has great graphics for the PS2 and one of the best single-player campaigns I've ever played*
Project: Snowblind *Another underrated fps game with nice graphics and a great campaign*
Xbox:
NHL 2K6 *I still think this is the best hockey game I've ever played. The gameplay just feels "right" to me*
TOCA Race Driver 3 *I haven't played a lot of Forza. But I prefer this game. Races seem more exciting. Also, the variety of racing - rally, open wheel, sprint, stock, kart.. is great*
Nintendo Wii:
Mad Dog McCree Gunslinger's Pack *I've been waiting for these near arcade-perfect Mad Dog ports with lightgun support (Wii Zapper in this case) all my life. I love it. Great value*
Xbox 360:
Medal of Honor: Airborne *I can't decide if I like this game more than Call of Duty Classic (aka CoD1), but I think this is easily the best MoH game ever*
Frontlines: Fuel of War *Other than some pretty nasty screen tearing at times, this fps game rocks the house! Very underrated. I look forward to trying Homefront in the future*

I dunno about that, if God of War is anything, it's definitely funny.Ack wrote:Sounds like my experience with God of War.dsheinem wrote:Having played it, it deserves all the shit it gets. It's a horrible, buggy, unfunny and unfun game.
Re: Underrated Games
Maybe, but it was an absolute buggy mess when I played through it, which definitely killed the fun.brunoafh wrote:I dunno about that, if God of War is anything, it's definitely funny.Ack wrote:Sounds like my experience with God of War.dsheinem wrote:Having played it, it deserves all the shit it gets. Good ol' Kratos, a 2 year old in a man's body. Someone stole his candy.brunoafh wrote:I dunno about that, if God of War is anything, it's definitely funny.Ack wrote:Sounds like my experience with God of War.dsheinem wrote:Having played it, it deserves all the shit it gets. Re: Underrated Games
so I shouldn't play God Of War then? I was recently wondering if I was missing out on anything.
Re: Underrated Games
If you want a story about a big angry baby that kills Gods, with gameplay that gives you a few boring combo's and relies super heavily on QTE's, maybe you'll like it.
I'm the wrong person to ask. Bores the hell out of me compared to Japanese action games.
