No way, man. Crank is a surprisingly great film. Neveldine and Taylor have since made a whole lot of crap, but they actually got it right on their first try.Stark wrote:Ugh...now there's a terrible movie.Limewater wrote:I've said before, but I think that Crank is superior to Scott Pilgrim as a video game film.
What was the last movie you've seen?

I concur that Crank is a better film, and it is also probably a better video game-esque film.Limewater wrote:No way, man. Crank is a surprisingly great film. Ip Man (2008). Quality film! Watch it instantly on Netflix. I also recently rewatched several of Kurisawa's films: Seven Samurai, Rashomon, Yojimbo, and Sanjuro. All fantastic films! And just a couple weeks ago, I saw Red Cliff and Musa: The Warrior, both of which I also recommend. I guess I've been on an Asian film kick, probably because I had my fill of Western fighting after watching both seasons of Starz's Spartacus!

Thanx.Rurouni_Fencer wrote:Just watched "How To Marry A Millionaire" feat. Marilyn Monroe and Betty Grable. It takes place in New York @ 1950-60? Nice little old-time comedy about three women scheming to marry rich men, only to end up finding true love.REPO Man wrote:
Can anyone recommend some movies about, set in and filmed in New York City? Oh, and it has to be either on Netflix Watch Instantly or Hulu Plus. Anything from the '60s and '70s is appreciated.

Just watched the trailer for Ip Man. Dear god, what a terrible trailer. Yes I get it, americans won't watch foreign language films, but they just put in some terrible generic trailer guy rambling and an endless barrage of fighting clips.

That's why I never watch the trailers.Jrecee wrote:Just watched the trailer for Ip Man. Dear god, what a terrible trailer. Yes I get it, americans won't watch foreign language films, but they just put in some terrible generic trailer guy rambling and an endless barrage of fighting clips.

Troll Hunter. It's a bit like Cloverfield except it's actually quite good and not as shaky.
