Racketboy SNES 2 S-video cable Question

I have a SNES Jr (or SNES 2) - just reading now there is no s-video support so is it safe to assume the cable in the store will not make a difference with this model?

Thanks - I still picked the cord up (will use with the n64 and GC), may eventually grab the original system.

That was poor homework by me and pretty disappointing to read they stripped the functionality out of the NEWER sytem.
