Ticked: Sure would be nice for this drought to end. I mean the entire state is in drought, but nearly half is at the worst severity level. There were 1 inch wide cracks in the ground over in the sticks on a bike ride the other weekend.
Smile: Not sure yet today.

Smile: 25 minute final gave me enough time to get food.
Smile: Walter Day friend requested me on Facebook. Of course I said yes.
(Note: this also means that I can pester him with your questions about getting stuff submitted to Twin Galaxies if we can't find the rules.

Wow - my yard is a swamp, as in you can not walk on the grass, everything from ND down the Mississippi and Red Rivers is just waterlogged from snow melt. In complete seriousness - we are able to recognize that a river is going to flood towns days in advance, are we as a nation not able to invest in diversion pipelines from these rivers? ie, to places in sever drought? Just baffles me.Hobie-wan wrote:Ticked: Sure would be nice for this drought to end. I mean the entire state is in drought, but nearly half is at the worst severity level. Yeah, that's very interesting how weather patterns are so different in different parts of the US. Here in WA we got 2 in of rain in a 24-hour period over the weekend and I was thinking "seriously rain go away." Apparently I need to say "please rain go to Hobie's house."mjmjr25 wrote:Wow - my yard is a swamp, as in you can not walk on the grass, everything from ND down the Mississippi and Red Rivers is just waterlogged from snow melt. yeah in Southcoast MA it's been rain like 5 out of 7 days for the past 3 weeks or so. Not like a ton of water, but just gloomy. I wanna see some sunshine already.

Yup, when everyone had that late snow dump it was already getting warm here. If we could have had some of the snow and rain from the last few months down here I think everyone would be a lot happier.Stark wrote: Yeah, that's very interesting how weather patterns are so different in different parts of the US.
