3DS freezes up when playing lego star wars

First off, this is my least favorite lego game so far. The levels are way way WAY to long. More importantly this is the only game I've had freeze up on me multiple times for my 3ds. Pilotwings never did, neither have steel diver or street fighter. I want to get lego pirates, but i'm wondering now if anyone who owns it or star wars are also having freeze issues?

I got bored with the lego series of games after the original saga Star Wars one. Just way too samey for me. Once you've played one you've played them all.

I'm saddened to hear all these issues with the 3DS. Nintendo used to have such a good rep for build quality. A friend of mine has had his top screen completely go black on him. Rest of the console works but nothing on the top screen. Managed to get it replaced at the place of purchase but it's still very worrying for a console to just suddenly break so soon after launch. Suffice to say I'm mollycoddling my 3DS just in case (which I shouldn't have to do, I bought it to play with damnit!) playing my DS games on my DS Lite instead.

i also heard that Super Monkey Ball 3D and Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars are having issues with the 3DS as well. didn't the developers fully tested these games before RTM? hopefully the next firmware update (mostly likely in June) will resolve this issues.

For what it's worth, the Lego Star Wars games have a bit of a reputation for being buggy.
