install this >>> and this >>> , this is the save file and exploit.

Once Action Replay for Xbox is installed, launch it, and then minimize it. Connect your xbox formatted USB Drive into the computer.

Now launch USBVIEW, you should see a bunch of stuff, but look for USB Mass Storage Device, and click on it you should see something like this:
Image
My device is 0x457 & 0x0151

Now goto where you installed Action Replay, usually “C:\Program Files\Datel\Action Replay XBOX”. In that folder is a sub folder called Drivers, go there and open XBREADER.INF in Notepad.

In the [_Devices_] part make a new entry with the VID & PID numbers you got from USBVIEW:
Image
My device's VID & PID are 0457 & 0151

Now open up Device Manager, goto Control Panel, open System, click the Hardware tab, then click the Device Manager button.
In Device Manager, open up the Universal Serial Bus controllers, Right Click on USB Mass Storage Device, and select Update Driver.
Then select Install from Specific Location (Advanced), click Next.
Select Don’t search. I will choose the driver to install., click Next.
Select Action Replay Xbox, click Next.
After driver is installed, click Finish, close: Device Manager, System Properties and Control Panel.
Un-minimize Action Replay for Xbox, and you should see on the left side the MEMORY CARD displays memcard, and the AR in the middle of the program is Green, if it is not then you didn't do all of the above correctly.

Splinter Cell
1) Once the game is at the main menu, select the Start Game option…
2) Now select the Linux Gamesave.
3) Select the Checkpoints option.
4) Choose back up MS to E
5) Install single boot softmod.
The SID 5 Final Main Menu
All menus will be self explanatory, and will go to the point, but make sure of the following tips to complete a successful softmod.
1. - Must have a retail MS Backup, either made by this installer or a previous SID installer that supports the target E:\backup\MS\, this backup must not be modded, and must have retail files, no dash version is specified if not installing Ndure.
2.- If you plan to Install the Dual Boot with MS Dash, YOU MUST have MS Dash 5960 either in your MS Backup or your True C drive (newest 1.6 Xboxes have this).
3. - Backup of your EEPROM must be made no matter what to complete the install. This is due to the fact that an eeprom backup is needed to be patched, and put into your hidden boot files to be loaded with the all new nkpatcher system, allowing this eeprom to be loaded instead of your real one to prevent apps from unlocking your HDD, and if you mess with your eeprom, then it’s just your virtual eeprom and not the real one, leading to a broken Xbox.
4. - The Uninstall Feature is picky. You must have a retail, non modded, MS Backup to it can proceed, it also pay attention to what it tell you, so you don’t make mistakes, and you select “YES” or “NO” wisely.
Please be aware that SID 5 will take around 15-30 seconds to install a file called "shadowc.img", so if you see that it looks like if it froze, don't panic, and let it run.

Chapter 8: Backup and Restore.
You have options to backup and restore your ms dash, as well as your softmod, but you may not restore your mod backup if an MS Backup is not present, so some limitations are there to prevent you from messing up your softmod, or losing valuable files of your Xbox. If you plan to use Xbox Live!, you don't need to do this, simply install the Dualboot MS Dash feature, but make sure you have an account before you do, cause once softmod is install, you cannot make an account.

Chapter 9: Installing the Softmod
Single Boot Softmods
These are the single-boot options available to you:
• Standard
• Standard for HD
• Virtual C + Eeprom
• Virtual C + Eeprom for HD
You’ll notice that you have two new options compared to the One-Click Install System. Installing the Softmod for HD (High Definition) means that your Softmod will be set so your Xbox is best displayed with a High Definition TV.
You only get the options to install EvolutionX or UnleashX in this section, but you can easily go back to the Install Dashboards section and change it (to XBMC for example).
One small rule, when installing a Softmod with Virtual C, don’t select a Softmod Dashboard, because the Softmod tricks your Xbox into thinking that the C Drive is still stock (unmodded), so in order to access the MS Dash properly you need to remember this.
Dual Boot Softmods
Unlike the Single-Boot Softmod, the Dual-Boot offers much more flexibility.
The two options you have are:
• Hacked Dash / Softmod Menu
• Hacked Dash / MS Dash
You firstly have the option on how you want to control your Dual Boot. After selecting this, you will proceed to the same options as the Single Boot.
Please note when you use the Hacked Dash / Softmod Menu option, when you boot your Xbox in this state, any Virtual C Drive is turned OFF leaving it exposed. You may not want to use this option if there’s a possibility that your Xbox can be used by someone that could easily format it on you.
The Hacked Dash / MS Dash option allows you to use Xbox Live properly (only with Original Games though). For this to work correctly, you must have you Xbox unmodded to set up your Xbox Live Account. Once this is done, you can proceed to apply the Softmod to your Xbox.

Two problems I ran into in this process:

First, xbreader.inf would not save. Every time I changed it and tried to save in notepad my computer told me:

"Cannot create the C:\Program Files\Datel\ActionReplayXbox\Drivers\xbreader.inf file. Make sure the path and file name are correct"

Also, when I tried to install the driver software my pc informed me that it had already installed the "Best" driver software for that storage device, so changing it was unnecessary

Update:

Just saved the xbreader.inf to the desktop, then manually moved it into the folder. That seemed to do the trick. Now its just a matter of getting past that damned device manager that wont let me install a new driver. I tried uninstalling the driver but then it boots the usb from recognition. If I plug the USB back in it immediately downloads the "best" driver.

I understood your directions for updating the driver quite well. The link goes through the same process, except the options are a bit different in Windows Vista. Anyway, when I told it no, I would find the driver, and selected the actionreplayxbox driver, it told me that it had already installed the "best" driver for my USB device, and nullified my attempt.
