Whenever I play NTSC Genesis games on my PAL TV, they're in black and white.
What lead will I need for them to be in normal colour? Will I need a RGB av/scart lead or something?
I'm currently using a standard RYW/AV lead.
What sort of cable will I need?

I think it's more likely that you just need an actual NTSC TV than some fancy cord.

Actually the Megadrive wont output 60hz with color due to the freq of the color crystal, a RGB cable will solve the problem.
EDIT: Sorry are you playing on a 60hz modded Megadrive or are you using a Genesis on a PAL TV, if it's a genesis on a PAL TV then yes, it sounds like your TV does not support 60hz, or if it does you need to switch it to 60hz using the remote!

If your TV doesn't support NTSC or isn't set to expect it, that's normal for an NTSC signal to end up as fuzzy B&W on a PAL display. Conversly PAL on an NSTC TV will give a picture that rolls.
