thanks dude. Sevin did the cover and it came out amazing. I love how it incorporates the old GB artwork but it also looks very "new" too.Bradtemple87 wrote:I like the case, great tribute

Re: Game Boy Player Land (my blog)
That reminds of another goal I have in my gaming. I want to complete all the Mega Man games on all Game Boy systems. I always found it to be more difficult on Game Boy though than NES but hey I got the whole summer now that classes are done for the semester to stand up to the challenge! I want to get through my Zelda goal first though!
Love the artwork on that btw Noise! Bad ass!!

I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

This entire project was some of the only fun I was able to have this last month what with work, school, and the move. I'm really proud of what we three were able to put together. It'll be nice when PSN comes up so that we can upload the levels and make it more easily available.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

glad it could be a silver lining for you man! I can't believe we pulled it together as quickly as we did considering everything that was going on!Flake wrote:This entire project was some of the only fun I was able to have this last month what with work, school, and the move. Re: Game Boy Player Land (my blog)
This is probably way off topic but you seem to be the GB expert noise, I was wondering what Mario/Wario game would you say is the best one to check out? I know I played one of the Super Mario Land's back in the day and one of the Wario games which I remember being incredibly good. Pretty clueless where to start though, unless the obvious sequential order is the best route! haha
I absolutely loved the Donkey Kong GB game, not sure which one I played but it was like classic Donkey Kong with an adventure mode. Played that one to death on the Super Gameboy back in the day.
I just powered through Oracle of Seasons, Ages, and Link's Awakening DX back to back and I'm honestly feeling like hitting up some more great GB/C games I may have missed out on. I think I'll try and finish up Mega Man Xtreme 1-2 now, but other than that I'm a little clueless.
Also I don't know about you guys, but no matter how hard I try... I find it very hard to get into Metroid 2. I'm a diehard Metroid fanatic all around, but that game... I just don't think it's one I'll ever finish. It's such a damn maze, the visuals and lack of music in a lot of area's, kind of disorienting or something.

Re: Game Boy Player Land (my blog)
I love Mario Land personally, though a lot of gamers playing for the first time now don't seem so impressed. Mario Land 2 is impressive -- as it's very Mario World-ish, though I still prefer the first.
I don't like the first Wario Land myself. The second is pretty good, but the 3rd is the real masterpiece.
Metroid II is actually one of my favorites of the series. Again, I'm in the minority -- and nostalgia has a lot to do with it.
