How much should I buy this Game and Watch for?

Post by elslasho »

The game is Life Boat, and the guy/girl said that is in great condition. I've never owned nor seen a G&W and I'm really wanting to get one just to give a history lesson to my friends.

...but what price should I pay for it? I'm thinking $30 or $50.

Here's the Craigslist for it: http://santamaria.craigslist.org/clt/2361480807.html

I Really Hate It When People Write Like This.
Also those pictures look really generic, like something you would pull off the web. Just saying.

Well if anything I'm going to go take a look at it and make sure its in "great" condition. Im going to need some batteries to test it out though, and I dont have the necessary ones lying around anywhere.

Personally, I wouldn't waste my money on this. I mean, it was fun in the 70s when we didn't have handhelds but not now.

From a collectors standpoint though, this intrigues me. Its like the first time you see a Magnavox Odyssey; you're not saying to yourself "Well, it might have been fun back then but now I've got a PS3, so..."

Yeah, I would. I grew up with Pong, Atari 2600, Intellivision, etc. I have no desire to ever play Pong. Ditto for Intellivision & Odyssey 2. I would play Atari 2600, NES, and other systems though.

So does anyone have an estimate on how much would be reasonable? Im going to take a look at it soon and offer 30 if its ok and everything works, if its in bad used condition probably 10.

according to this rarityguide, it is pretty rare

90.00 loose is the price they list at, but that seems a bit high to me.
