My wife has more money than I do, so I would serve to benefit in that regard rather than flush money down a toilet. And I don't know how you ever came to a conclusion that I care more about what others think of me than my own happiness. I do care what others think of me, especially my partner, and my happiness partly depends on my being able to get along well with them. But marriage for me was really something I wanted to do for myself as well as for my wife and family. I wanted the celebration. I wanted the personal and social signs of devotion. I wanted the legal affordances. I wanted to spend my life with someone I could call my wife.Inazuma wrote: I'm talking about our current reality. You are living in a fantasy land. Here is an open toilet for you to flush half your money down. You seriously think it's worth losing half your money in order to get foolish people to think better of you? I think that's fucking pathetic, to be completely honest. You care more about what idiots think of you than your own happiness. (>_<)

Well, since your wife has more money than you, maybe it was good for you to get married. I think it will still be hard for you to win in a possible divorce since you are male but you have a chance at least.J T wrote:My wife has more money than I do, so I would serve to benefit in that regard rather than flush money down a toilet. I was talking about the men who marry women that have less money than them. If they throw away their money just so others can think highly of them, it is foolish.
Re: All the single gamers, all the single gamers.
What if they get married and don't throw their money away, and they do it for reasons other than what others think. Is it still foolish?Inazuma wrote:I was talking about the men who marry women that have less money than them. If they throw away their money just so others can think highly of them, it is foolish.

I still would have married her even if I had more money.Inazuma wrote: I was talking about the men who marry women that have less money than them. If they throw away their money just so others can think highly of them, it is foolish.

Inazuma, what if you were you I'd marry someone who has a really impressive PS3 collection? That way you could play their games without supporting Sony? Wouldn't that be a win/win?
Re: All the single gamers, all the single gamers.
Yep, it sure it. Taking a massive risk (50% chance of losing half of everything you own) with no benefit is foolish to begin with.Limewater wrote:What if they get married and don't throw their money away, and they do it for reasons other than what others think. It'd be a fucking loss for whoever consented to marry Inazuma.noiseredux wrote:Inazuma, what if you were you I'd marry someone who has a really impressive PS3 collection? That way you could play their games without supporting Sony? Wouldn't that be a win/win?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Taking on a huge risk without any benefit is fucking stupid. What more can I say? You have the freedom to play Russian Roulette (or in this case a modified version where there are 3 bullets in the revolver) but doing so would be foolish.J T wrote: I still would have married her even if I had more money.

Seriously. In some 3rd world countries, just having to spend time in the same room with Inazuma is a common punishment for shop lifting. You can only imagine the crime you'd have to commit to deserve marriage to the guy.J T wrote:Flake wrote: It'd be a fucking lose for whoever consented to marry Inazuma.
