Actually the only PS2 release left on the schedule is Madden 2012. That's it. At least according to IGN's list of slated releases on PS2. PS2 really isn't supported anymore.Rurouni_Fencer wrote:What? Seriously, though, you make a good point - however, don't forget the PS2 is still supported today, albeit by dumbed down sports title and/or the odd Atlus-SRPG. And why? Because a metric-Faak ton of people bought it. That being said, I don't expect A-list titles to be released on the Wii any later than the first quarter of the Cafe's fiscal year of existence.. But don't be surprised if the Wii maintains some longevity in the market well after its' successor, and the 'hardcore' gamers, move on. The Wii is still sold and played by our parents and non-gaming relatives, and they'll still hunger for more shovel-ware.. (as we speak, my girlfriend is begging me for the new Yogi Bear game because "it reminds me of Donkey Kong Country..)

Considering the PS3 is 4-5 years into its lifespan, the fact that there are any games being released for the PS2 is pretty unbelievable.BurningDoom wrote:Actually the only PS2 release left on the schedule is Madden 2012. Hold on, I just thought of something. The Guitar Hero series was born on, and died on, the PS2. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think no GH console game was not released on the PS2.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, the last console GH game was released on current gen consoles only, according to Wikipedia. Kinda bummed cause I don't way to buy a new fake guitar for one game. You're not missing anything, the game fucking sucks. Worst GH game yet. Yes, even worse than Guitar Hero 3 and World Tour. When Neversoft took over development, that was the day that the Guitar Hero series died completely. It's been a shambling corpse ever since that point. Raped over and over by Activision.SwooshBear wrote:Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, the last console GH game was released on current gen consoles only, according to Wikipedia. I liked Guitar Hero III the best, pretty much due to it having more metal songs than the other Guitar Hero games (not counting GH: Metallica, of course).Niode wrote:You're not missing anything, the game fucking sucks. Re: Nintendo: Project Cafe
Well I feel better then lol. Gh3 is my favorite though. WT is okay, and I've never played 5. 5 looks too much like it's a band game rather than focused on guitar, so the songs seem like they would be easy. GH2 is pretty good but to be honest the graphics make it harder to hit hammer ons/pull offs. Gh1 was way too easy, but they had to start somewhere.Niode wrote:You're not missing anything, the game fucking sucks. Worst GH game yet. Yes, even worse than Guitar Hero 3 and World Tour.
