As far as I'm aware, there was never a specific Zelda: Collector's Edition GameCube. My GameCube was bundled with the game, but it's just a normal Jet Black GameCube.

thats in a cardboard box.. though that seems to be the JP version. I was just wondering what they came in in America. I know a lot of knock off stuff comes in cheap blister packs, so im wondering what to look for. Hell i'm also wondering if a JP one would work with an american GC? Im not even familiar with how GC's work for region locking.
I THINK they came in blister packs in the States (but don't quote me on that), and I THINK they are region free (again, don't quote me).

The GB player is just a GBA in a different form. It's region free.

The boot disc IS region dependent, however.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I didn't know that about the disc. Makes perfect sense though.
