I'm trying to erase my DC's flash memory...but I've tried burning DCFLash so many times and its not working. I need it to flash so I can play PSO online again.
The PSO servers are dead. You'll have to use a private server instead. I don't think the private servers even lock your copy of the game to your console id. If they do, then sorry.
I forgot all about PSO being linked to a single dreamcast. Did it do that for single player too? I should probably check which of my two dreamcasts is the one i use to play PSO on.

Then you should try using a different disc that configures it for you? A lot of games will, like later entries Sega's sports series or Quake 3 or UT. Or you could look into downloading and burning the many web browser discs for DC.
