Label making

So I just bought a heap load of genesis, snes, nes, ect games off of craigslist.The only problem is well the labels are all F'ed up.I read that it's possible to print new labels but when I tried the picture took up the whole page.

Is there any step by step tutorial for making game labels?

If you already have labels you wanna print, load them into Photoshop (or something similar like Gimp). Take precise measurements of an actual SNES, Genesis, etc, label and make the label this exact size in Photoshop.

Make sure when printing that there isn't a 'fit to page' option checked off.

For end labels I print on regular paper. Use double sided tape (not the thick foam kind) for the bottom. On the top, clear shiny transparent (not magic) tape works great as lamination. The tape is thin compared to clear lamination. For larger labels the shiny clear package wrap tape works well too.

I apply all the tape BEFORE cutting out the label, for a clean edge.

Avery adhesive labels work great too. SNES labels fit on the "name badge" Avery labels, but they have many sizes. Put clear packing tape over the top for a nice finish, some tapes work and some don't work as well (air pockets). I've made many labels using adhesive packed photopaper and it works great, though I couldn't tell you were to find that. The place I got mine from stopped carrying it.

I haven't done any labels for games, but I've made and ordered a lot of other labels. I use Microsoft Publisher to make them when I do them myself. It has very easy-to-use tools for measuring, making guides, and aligning pictures to those guides. It also has presets for Avery and other brands of label paper and can print to precise measurements on any printer that's set up properly.
For durable/waterproof ones (hardhat stickers) I have a printing company make vinyl ones based on the specifications I email them. The company I've been using lately is http://www.fastsigns.com/. Their equipment is much more capable than anything I have access to. They have automated exacto-like cutters to make very precise curved cuts for the outlines, and their prices are better than most other shops I've tried (at least here in western Canada) for small/single orders and they're much cheaper than the competition I tried for bulk orders.
