Arcade-y games for original Xbox

Post by Hateshinai »

I recently got myself an Xbox (PAL) with 175 original games (genuine, all complete) for 100 euros. They are almost all good games and consist of a few platformers but mostly horror, FPS and military strategy games. And a Hello Kitty game... Which is weird...

Anyway, as nice as they all are (well, maybe not the Hello Kitty one), I am craving some arcade style games. I do not mean compilations of all arcade games btw. Rather, .I mean games that I can just pop in for half an hour, shut my brain down and just have a blast.Any genre of game would do (racers, fighting). I was never really interested in the Xbox so I'm not familiar with the games. Any suggestions?

For now I just came up with Dead or Alive series, Capcom and SNK fighters, Burnout 3 and Outrun 2.

Panzar Dragoon Orta You need to play that game. It is a seriously fun arcade-skype on-rail shooter. The graphics are simply beautiful, and you can easily just enjoy it in short spurts.

Kung Fu Chaos, that has already been mentioned, is also really fun. Give it a try!

It's one of the games that came with the console so I'll definitely give it a try

Silent Scope, HotD and Guilty Gear I already have on other systems.

Kung Fu chaos looks fun.

Quantum Redshift looks cool as well.

Thanks and keep the suggestions coming!

Psyvariar 2 and Shikigami no Shiro Evolution are pretty good shumps.

Alien Hominid is arcade-y too, if you're into run n guns.

I'll second PD Orta. It's great for playing a level now and then, plus it has a great amount of replay if you enjoy trying to beat your high scores. Not to mention all of the Panzer Dragoon games are great.

Yeah, but Silent Scope Complete includes all three games on one disc and is light-gun compatible
