Seattle Retro Game Expo 2011

Post by mobiusclimber »

So who's going? This is the official site. It's happening May 28-29. I'm going in w/ a couple friends on two booths (I think we're getting six tables). I'm actually crossing my fingers I have those days off work, but w/ how few hours I'm getting at work, I probably will.

Looks like this is the first year. It's being put on by Gerald Levinzon who was also a staff member for the Portland show (PRGE, they have em every year) . Anyway just wanted to get the word out in case there's other Seattlites here who can't make it down to Portland (or don't want to wait for the next one).
I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games

I always like to hear of new vg cons, but i've got a east coast con the same weekend. Whoever goes, needs to post up a run-down.

I'm definitely going to be there. It will be my first Retro Game Expo, I'm really excited to go.

I'm really stoked and hope I have some or all of the days off work. I went to the Portland one last year and had a blast. I'll also be selling at Sakura Con next week, but likely will only actually physically be there part of Friday. XD

I am going to keep an eye on this, I may or may not be able to attend. Depends on if I will be up there for work.

Does Sakura Con have some good retro game deals (aside from yours of course... :P )? My wife wants to go to check out everyone's costume, but I'm not really into much anime so I haven't been motivated to buy tickets.

I'm not sure if I can go, but if I can, I'll let you all know. It is in the neighborhood. :)

I've been intrigued by the Portland show, but since this is in my backyard I've gotta go!

I actually have no idea. This will be my first year. My and a friend have paired up with a model/hobby shop in Northgate called Kicks Hobby Japan. We sell on consignment in their store and since they do all the different cons, we're going to be selling at their booth. I think they do some of the comic cons as well. I think there are a few other game sellers at Sakura Con, but no idea if they have good deals or not (LOL). I'd suggest going just for the costumes tho.
