I thought Time-Warner stopped WinAmps after 6.x?Hatta wrote:Winamp died when Nullsoft got acquired by AOL.
These days I just use mplayer from the command line and I don't miss Winamp at all.
I still use Nullsoft's WinAmp for MODs and ChipAmp. It's still small and doesn't take up too much space or resources. (Or I can power-on my RockBox'd MP3 player.)
Nowadays, even image-viewers can listen to MP3s, OGGs, and FLACs.
I remember I had an old Win 3.11 program I used just for MP2s and MP3s. WinPlay3 was it?
