Seriously. I didn't even like Nintendo at all until I found out that it was life's plan for everyone all along. I don't like to go against the grain, y'know? So just deal with it and when the world stops hating you everyone will start liking non-Nintendo things. Could be awhile. I can recommend some good reading material while you're waiting.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
