Wow, Ack! All those obscure titles on Saturn and no mention of Enemy Zero?

Would it be wrong to consider the Ecco the Dolphin games for horror? I was looking into some stuff on Tides of Time, and here are some top-rated comments I read on YouTube videos:
  • "This was the best game to play at a young age. I used to take this game verrry slowly since the dark deep waters scared me as a kid, it was that unknown type of fear." 36 votes up.
  • "Ecco is quite possibly one of the most sinister games I've ever played. I mean really, think about it. It was grimdark as HELL." 36 votes up
  • "Did anyone else find this game sort of scary?" 55 votes up.
  • "This series is pure nightmare fuel." 38 votes up.
  • "This is the dolphin equivalent of RAPING YOUR CHILDHOOD. This game has beautiful environments but the whole plot is mindfucking weird." 43 votes up.
Probably not what you're looking for, I know, but the deep, alien ocean environments, constant freaking out from lack of air, foreboding soundtrack, and H.R. Giger-inspired extraterrestrial enemies don't place it too far from the genre.

Also, I just made you guys read possibly the first sentence to use the words "This is the dolphin equivalent of RAPING YOUR CHILDHOOD" in that syntax EVER.

Sweet lord in heaven! I never played Ecco in my childhood, now I wish I did!
I seriously need to sit down and play 'em now. I'm gonna be up all night! :D

I always thought Ecco Tides of Time was a mellow game when I was a kid. Sure, there was that feeling of panic when air was running low, but Sonic The Hedgehog was much worse for that. The Sonic low-on-air music still makes my heart race today. I think the most notable aspect of the Ecco franchise is that there isn't something trying to kill you every five seconds. There are wide stretches of Ecco wherein one can just swim, jump, and play while encountering few (if any) threats.

Huh, I thought when I wrote the second list that I had included it in the first. Bloody hell.

I didn't see Zombie Revenge listed for Dreamcast but I could've missed it. There's US, Euopean, & Japanese versions. My apologies if it was listed already though.

Good luck with your collection! Horror is my favorite genre in both games and movies so I feel the love there!
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

I think most horror titles have been mentioned but if later you want to drop down to sinister games or thrillers i would recomend Omikron:Nomad Soul, made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck that game did  ,story seems a little corny at first but you soon get drawn into the plot investigating the murders in the different worlds, where there seems to be a human/demon on the prowl.I have only played the DC version which i have heard has a few bugs and is inferior to the pc version but i would recomend this unusual game.
I have been playing games since 1983 and its the only game i have ever played to almost give me a panic/anxiety attack (no really -i used to suffer from them  )

If it's horror themed e.g Castlevania, horrifying e.g, Silent hill or just has some connection with horror, it counts! :)

How did your love for horror begin? :D

When I was a kid, me and my older brother used to sneak out to our neighbors and watch horror movies with their kids. Our parents wouldn't let us, so it was both exciting, forbidden fruit and it was scary!

And I remember the first horror movie I ever saw, it was a children's horror film about vampires in a theater! Man, I was way too young to watch it, even though it was a kid's movie. I was trembling, literary! But I couldn't stop watching.
After that I couldn't even think about vampires and just the covers in the video store made me shit my pants! But then, slowly, I started to get drawn to it... And now I can't live without horror film, books and games!

I really can't fit all my horror stuff in my apartment. But I plan on dedicating a whole room to horror films, games and books when I get a bigger place!

Also a great place to work on my short stories!

I completely forgot about the Gamegear!

So I'm gonna ad Dracula and Master of Darkness for the GG!

I would also like to add Castle of illusion to the list. Sure, it's Mickey Mouse, but it IS horror themed!

On a side note, I bought a Gamegear today! :D
