I mean, it will start a discussion on what's considered boyish and girlish, but I did find it intriguing enough. Like say, Red, which is an aggressive colour, outsold Blue, which is much calmer, generally young men are more aggressive than girls, so they'd go with red and vice versa. I find it really curious anyways, regardless of it merit. There's more guy gamers than girl gamers, so there'd be more boys growing up and discarding their games thus it plays into the above posts of more manlier colours being available in the wild. Mind, I find Ruby far, far more prevalent used than Sapphire and Emerald.
makes sense. I mean traditionally the color to paint a baby boy's nursery is red.
'Cos you find alot of parents buying Game boys for their newborns?
In racketnese, blue text indicates sarcasm.

But...but.....Meowth. (I was so pissed off he was a blue exclusive  )
 True, he was, but I didn't really care about him. My final decision was based off of what I wanted more: Vulpix/Ninetails or Growlithe/Arcanine. Oh, and Scyther. I liked him more than Magmar. (On a side note, I find it scary how clearly I can remember this information and how easily I forget things I shouldn't  )

Blues equivalent to Scyther was Pinsir, not Magmar. He was was the equivalent of Electabuzz.

Oops! It was, wasn't it? I thought it looked wrong when I typed it, but I was too lazy to look it up. Can you tell it's been a while since I played the original version. I'll take some solace that Magmar was a blue exclusive though. And I've never liked Pinsir anyway. I can't quite remember, but I'm sure that factored into my decision to get Red.

Yeah its pretty pedantic either way. I was never a fan of electabuzz or magmar, but scyther was my favourite back when.
